Saturday, September 14th        10:15 AM

We welcome any and all peoples. We are from all over, not all of us are from the Boundary but we are all connected and people are always coming and going. We accept anyone who is open to our culture. You don't need Indigenous background to drum with us. We aren't perfect and we are still learning but we like to have a good time, even if we have a random fit of giggles in the middle of a song, which does happen from time to time.

Carmanah
Saturday, September 14th      3:45 PM
Sunday, September 15th       12:00 PM

The road has become a familiar friend for Victoria’s Carmanah following the release of their first commercial album ‘Speak In Rhythms’ (February 2018). With two songs climbing to #1 on CBC’s Top 20 chart, the album introduced audiences to Carmanah’s sound overflowing with emotion, afterhours cool, and vintage grooves.

Carmanah was mentioned as a “BC musician to watch out for” by Vancouver’s Daily Hive. The Zone 91.3’s Jon Williams has called her, “the Stevie Nicks of our generation.” Times-Colonist reviewer Mike Devlin touted her opening act for K.D. Lang as a, “solid six-song set highlighted by some impressive vocal runs and nifty acoustic guitar work.”

At home on Vancouver Island, Carmanah have built a large and enthused fanbase, selling out bigger venues and opening stages for international acts like Ziggy Marley, Clinton Fearon, K.D. Lang, Moby and Shakey Graves. Off the island, on their travels both near and far, and consistent with their values, the band lessens their ecological footprint by fuelling their tour vehicle with used vegetable oil procured from restaurants along the way.
