CAMP FOR FREE ALL SEASON and forget about rent & utilities! Enjoy your summer on the Kettle River at the Jim Blaine Memorial Campground (Rock Creek Fall Fair).  We are seeking a Host Person or Couple from July 12 to September 30, 2021. (dates negotiable)

This position offers many FREE live-on-site benefits, a percentage of the camping fees above a certain threshold, PLUS EXTRA INCOME (for one) as a part-time Campground Attendant.

 

BENEFITS WE OFFER:

FREE  CAMPSITE including water, sewer (pump out), 30 amp power and picnic table, (valued at $30 per night)

FREE  WIFI (staff area)

Park Hosts must provide their own RV and maintain a clean site as this space is the first impression of the park.  

Host couples must wear uniform vest (provided) while on duty.  

Dogs are not allowed on the RCFBA grounds under any circumstances.

 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

A profit share is paid upon completion of the season.  Attendant hours are 4.5 hours p/day, 6 days p/week.

Maintenance, stocking & cleaning of the washrooms and outhouses

Provide Visitor Info on local interests and activities

Computer Booking Software and collecting fees

Campsite Security

Opening/closing park gates

 

EMPLOYEE REQUIREMENTS:

-Manage time effectively and work well unsupervised

-Compliance Covid-19 safety protocols, campground rules

-Attendance of staff meetings, reporting to the RCFBA General Manager

-Physical requirements may include walking on uneven surfaces, bending, reaching, lifting up to 40 lbs

As this is a seasonal position, we cannot accept requests for holidays off, however YOU WILL HAVE 1 DAY OFF per week for your personal commitments.  Both applicants, if applicable, must provide a valid driver’s license and pass RCMP Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector checks. (Any fees for record checks are reimbursed following the completion of the season.)

GROUNDS MANAGER ASSISTANT

The Rock Creek & Boundary Fair Association is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person who enjoys working outdoors to assist our Groundskeeper throughout the summer.  The main duties will be land and building maintenance including lawn care, weed control, irrigation, and some custodial duties.  This is an eight week posting starting July 5, 2021 and ending August 27, 2021 (some flexibility on start and finish dates), 35 hrs/week at $16.00 /hr.  Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of employment, must be a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident and legally entitled to work in British Columbia.

CAMPGROUND HOST ASSISTANT

The Rock Creek & Boundary Fair Association is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person who enjoys working outdoors to assist our Campground Host(s) throughout the summer.  The main duties will be maintenance of campsites, including minor lawn care and irrigation and maintenance & sanitization of washroom/shower facilities.  The applicant may also be required to use computer software to review daily check-ins/check-outs. This is a ten week posting starting June 28, 2021 and ending September 3, 2021 (some flexibility on start and finish dates), 25 hrs/week at $16.00 /hr.  Applicants must be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of employment, must be a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident and legally entitled to work in British Columbia.
